Salem Danville's first service was under a carport on the 1st of March 2009 with 6 people. We started because the people of Danville spoke a need of a Biblical, relevant and alive church.

In December of 2009 we took over an old pub in Danville and renovated it into our church - a miracle done by God! Today we minister to about 100 people, 30 teenagers and 60 children.
Danville is a poor area in Pretoria West, South Africa - unique in a sense that there is poor people of all cultures and races.

Our vision - to bring His Peace and restoration to the people of Danville. To show them that your circumstances do not dictate God's love for you. Jesus loves all, no matter who you are, what you've done, or how much money you have!

A bad heart?


Deceit is when you think you are right, but you are actually missing the mark by far.

As Kobus was preaching on Sunday, I was very self-assured and thought by myself that my spiritual heart is healthy and beating in step with God’s will!

At one stage in his sermon, he used a Scripture that made my heart miss one beat… I don’t know if it ever happened to you? It seems as if one word or one Scripture is just meant for you! It is in that moment that God transform His written Word (logos) into a revelation (rhema), just for you!

The Scripture was:

Jeremiah 17:9(NLT)
 9 “The human heart is the most deceitful of all things,
      and desperately wicked.
      Who really knows how bad it is?

What God actually wanted me to realize is that you can never be too self-assured. Even when you look at your own heart, you might miss something.

The key is not to look into your own heart, because you might be deceived. You need to ask the Holy Spirit to look into your heart and reveal to you anything that is not in line with His will!

Psalm 139:23-24(AMP)
23Search me [thoroughly], O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!
    24And see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Only God can show you if you have a bad heart! Decide today to make these words in Psalm 139 your prayer. God will show you anything that is standing between Him and you. Confess it and He will lead you in the way everlasting!
